Asmara Gifts is categorised in departments to make your search for that special gift easy, from jewellery, fashion (including fashion accessories such as bags) and home ware.  

Focus for 2012

This year we are focusing on producing our own designs and prints for our jewellery and clothing. We are also now beginning the journey of collaborating with textile teachers to teach a new skill and provide a new opportunity to those less fortunate. In July 2011 we trained  six unemployed wood carvers from the village of Blangsinga, Bali the skill of shoe-making.

To make a bigger impact, we will also wholesale to retailers who wants to stock Fair Trade products. Contact us on sadri@asmaragifts.com  if you want to work with us to train those less fortunate and support Fair Trade. 

Fair Trade

Asmara Gifts is proud to support Fair Trade by stocking products which supports a fair payment to the Balinese artisan groups that hand make wood, silver, bamboo, coconut, ceramic and other handicraft products. 

Our products are sourced from suppliers that provide free training to the Balinese artisans to assist them in producing modern and unique designs.

Gotong Royong

“Gotong royong” is a system used throughout Indonesia, it is a system whereby within a village, the community work together to achieve a common goal, similar to a working bee. We will work with other organisations that have the same goals and principles.
